A-4D1    Date: April 13    Fee: $40.00
A-4D2 Date: April 14 Fee: $40.00

This fourth law of chaos (T-23.II.9) is at the heart of the ego's specialness, laying the groundwork for our special relationships in which we feel justified to attack through our perceptions that others have deprived us of the innocence we believe to be rightfully ours. This law, therefore, forms the basis of all aspects of competition-in business, politics, international relations, and sports-and is undone only by substituting the Holy Spirit's rock of salvation: no one can lose for anyone to gain (T-25.VII.12:1).
A-5The Emperor Has No Clothes
Dates: May 18 - 20   Fee: $100.00
A-5D1    Date: May 18    Fee: $40.00
A-5D2 Date: May 19 Fee: $40.00
A-5D3 Date: May 20 Fee: $40.00
The famous fairy tale is the framework for exploring the inherent nothingness, not only of the ego's thought system of special relationships, but of the very ego itself. Only those whose vision is cleansed of guilt and fear have the innocence from which true perception rises. Looking without judgment at the ego, therefore, we are able to look beyond it to the truth of God's pure creation, the Everything that is our Self.
A-6To Be Or Not To Be: The Specialness of Death or the Death of Specialness?
Dates: June 8 - 10   Fee: $100.00
A-6D1    Date: June 8    Fee: $40.00
A-6D2 Date: June 9 Fee: $40.00
A-6D3 Date: June 10 Fee: $40.00
Jesus tells us twice in A Course in Miracles that no one dies without his own consent (T-19.IV.C.1:4; W-pI.152.1:4), for death does not come from external causes. Moreover, to have a split mind means there are wrong- and right-minded reasons for our choice: specialness or forgiveness. Through lecture, discussion, and readings, we will explore our decisions for death, the ultimate goal being to recognize the illusory nature of the body's birth, life, and death, seeing them as camouflages for the mind's life-the doorway to our return to Life Itself.
A-7"Waken gently and with joy"
Dates: July 27 - 29, 2008   Fee: $100.00
A-7D1    Date: July 27    Fee: $40.00
A-7D2 Date: July 28 Fee: $40.00
A-7D3 Date: July 29 Fee: $40.00
The ego tells us that if we follow the Holy Spirit and His teachings of forgiveness we would disappear, not into the Heart of God but into the nothingness of oblivion. Yet Jesus teaches that the process of awakening is gradual and kind, filled with happy dreams, for “God willed [we] waken gently and with joy, and gave [us] means to waken without fear” (T-27.VII.13:5). The class will explore this central theme of A Course in Miracles through lecture, discussion, and readings.
A-8"Truth makes no compromise"
Dates: August 24 - 26, 2008   Fee: $100.00
A-8D1    Date: August 24    Fee: $40.00
A-8D2 Date: August 25 Fee: $40.00
A-8D3 Date: August 26 Fee: $40.00
This statement from a personal message to Helen Schucman in 1975 underscores the non-dualistic foundation of A Course in Miracles. It reflects the first principle of miracles (there is no order of difficulty among them), which undoes the ego's first law of chaos (there is a hierarchy of illusions). Translated into our everyday experience, this means that forgiveness makes no exceptions. This major theme of the class will be presented through lecture, discussion, and readings.

FREE INTRODUCTORY LECTURE
For those interested in learning more about what A Course in Miracles is and what it says, Kenneth Wapnick will present an introductory lecture designed to acquaint the audience with the Course and its principles. The program format will include a question-and-answer period.
