Although the Course never uses the term, Kenneth has emphasized that it is non-dualistic in its teaching that the only reality is perfect Oneness and that all else is illusion. As Kenneth has also made clear, it is not particularly helpful or practical simply to dismiss everything that we are experiencing as unreal. And so the Course meets us where we believe we are, living in a dualistic world of separation, by employing dualistic symbols while not compromising its underlying metaphysical foundation. Forgiveness cannot be truly and fully understood and practiced without an appreciation of how it reflects perfect Oneness in a world of separation and duality, by undoing all judgments that keep us separate and different. For this month we would like to suggest two titles that explore the implications of the Course's non-dualistic premise for both its study and practice. Of the first one, Kenneth describes the program as “probably one of the most important ones I have ever done and probably will ever do” as he addresses the major lack of appreciation most students have for how the Course uses symbolism. The second one considers the trap most students fall into of resisting or opposing the ego, thereby giving it a reality it does not have.
