This tape set was originally a workshop held in December 1990 at the Foundation for A Course in Miracles. The presentation focused on the importance of remaining true to our experience of Jesus, while at the same time recognizing that his reality transcends these individual experiences. The discussion in the workshop also focused in depth on the relationship of Jesus to Helen Schucman, the scribe of the Course, and to A Course in Miracles itself. Our experience and the reality of Jesus are presented in the context of the symbol of a ladder, the symbol used in the scribed pamphlet The Song of Prayer. Our journey home is a process, with Jesus serving both as our guide in the illusion, experienced in the forms most meaningful to us, and at the same time as standing at the journey's end as the reminder of our true reality as Christ. In the words of Lesson 302 in the workbook: "Our love awaits us as we go to Him, and walks beside us showing us the way. He fails in nothing. He the end we seek, and He the means by which we go to Him."
What follows are excerpts from the edited transcription of the workshop.
