The Lighthouse Articles - Preface
The Lighthouse Articles

Preface
Kenneth’s plan was to publish this anthology upon completion of the 25th year of the newsletter's publication, from its inception in 1990 through 2014. Kenneth died at the end of 2013, never having written the March 2014 article, which would have completed his three-part series called “The Treachery of Images.”
In light of this, I decided that a fitting way to conclude The Lighthouse series would be to publish some of the many tributes we received expressing sympathy and appreciation for Kenneth’s life, teaching, and writing. These tributes were published in the March 2014 issue of The Lighthouse, and appear at the end of this anthology. After having received hundreds of tributes, we decided to post all of them on our Web site, which can be viewed here. As you may know, The Lighthouse is no longer being published.
Several years ago, before the decision was made to wait until the 25th year of the publication, Kenneth had organized the articles available at the time into chapters and sections based on six main themes, and then he wrote introductions, with the idea that the information in the introductions would be updated at the end of 2014. In early 2013, Kenneth revised the arrangement of the articles, this time including everything published through March 2013. The revision of the introductions remained on hold, and unfortunately they were never completed. We have decided to include these introductions as Kenneth had left them. They therefore appear here in their original form. He also had intended to write a Foreward called “First Light” and an Afterword he tentatively called "Eternal Light,” but again, both of these were left only in the planning stage. The General Introduction to this anthology was written by both Kenneth and me several years ago, and I have revised it to reflect his 2013 re-arrangement of the articles.
It is my sincere hope that these articles will engender greater understanding of Course material and the many modes of putting it into practice. May the light in our Right Minds guide us toward accepting the Atonement.
